Brisbane City – Public Consultation for Road Upgrades
Brisbane is the largest local government in Australia with 26 wards and 27 councillor positions.
Brisbane City Council (BCC) invests in major transport infrastructure projects, local road projects and public transport initiatives to tackle congestion in Brisbane.
BCC is building an improved road and transport network across Brisbane through a range of key projects including major road construction and intersection upgrades. BCC is also working to minimise traffic congestion to improve access to the major transport networks. And to improve safety in local areas BCC is undertaking intersections, corridor upgrades and minor road projects.

Public Consultation Process
BCC believes it is important to consider the views of a community when making decisions about projects that affect their local area or the city as a whole. Darzin was used as a system to manage community engagement and public enquiries for a number of road upgrade projects such as:
- Blunder Road and Reedy Road intersection upgrade
- Zillman Road and Gherler Road intersection upgrade
- Roghan Road and Muller Road intersection upgrade
Interactions with the local community and public enquiries were tracked and reported in Darzin stakeholder software.
